Tina Benavente has been honing her skills as a textile designer for the past several years.  She was trained as an oil painter and learned the art of batik and began to use textiles as her canvas.  Tina received her BA in Fashion Textiles from the University of Arts London, London College of Fashion in the UK in 2016.  She is inspired by her cultural backgrounds of Chamoru from the island of Guam and the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana. She loves and uses color along with the discovery of indigo and currently uses the dyeing technique in her works.
